Learning Platform Overview

What is the RSL Learning Platform?

The Learning Platform is a mobile app and a webapp (web-based application) which gives you access to all the material required to prepare for your graded music exam. Your subscription gives you access to every grade book across Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Piano, Ukulele and Drums. It will also be available for all new instrumental grade syllabus releases.

What does it do?

The Learning Platform enables teachers to set assignments for their students based on Rockschool pieces. The Learning Platform has a range of features, including functions to enable you to adjust the tempo and loop specific sections; audio and video play along functions; and, for the teacher, lesson planning and feedback functions.

Who is it for?

The Learning Platform is for both teachers and students.

How does it work?

Teachers can download The Learning Platform onto any device from the App Store, Google Play, or load it in a web browser. Students who have signed up for a subscription and nominated a teacher on the RSL Teacher Registry appear in the teacher’s Learning Platform interface. Teachers can then create class lists for any of their students with a subscription and set specific exercises for them to complete between lessons. Teachers can also measure their progress, record feedback and deliver online lessons.

After signing up for a subscription, students can download the Learning Platform onto their device from the App Store, Google Play,  or load it in a web browser and undertake the exercises and pieces set for them by their teacher. Their subscription will also give them access to any of the material found in any grade book of their choice.
